Cutting-edge technology

MNIS IMPLANTS

Systems

MNIS can be developed into various types of plants that differ in purpose (energy production and/or matter recovery) and in capacity, starting from 50kg/h up to 3 tons/h, with the aim of satisfying all the needs of our customers. Our systems can treat waste/SRF (solid recovered fuels) of any nature dissociating the waste molecules into their constituent elements.

The installation of a MNIS system will not only reduce expenses with the elimination of the costs for transport, storage and disposal of waste, but it can also generate revenue from the sale of energy (thermal or electrical) and chemicals.

Thanks to our systems it is possible to consider waste as a resource and no longer as an additional problem that companies must deal with, wasting time and resources and resulting in a strong environmental impact.

The MNIS® technology enables the separation of the molecular components of waste materials through a plasma-assisted gasification process, which fundamentally differs from conventional combustion.
This process breaks down the chemical bonds, generating two main outputs: a combustible gaseous component known as syngas, and an inert solid component called slag, produced in quantities and proportions that depend on the type of waste material treated.

The syngas produced can be recovered as a secondary raw material or converted into energy through various conversion processes — for example, turbines for electricity generation or heat exchangers for thermal energy. Part of this energy can be used to make the plant self-sufficient, while the surplus can be supplied to energy communities. The resulting slag can be reused, for instance, as a component in the construction industry.

The main advantage of this process lies in the absence of direct combustion of waste and the use of plasma, which prevents the formation of dust, dioxins, and other toxic substances.

The design and construction of a prototype plant have made it possible to define the next development stage: testing, in a full-scale facility, the recovery of valuable chemicals (e.g. hydrogen, carbon dioxide, etc.) from the high-quality syngas produced through MNIS® technology.
